Circle of Hope is a 501(c) (3), tax-exempt, non-profit organization devoted to encouraging the physical and mental development of children and adults with disabilities. Through special individualized instruction in equine assisted activities and therapies (EAAT), participants learn mental and psychological control, balance, and coordination. Circle of Hope?s approach incorporates
cognitive, behavioral, psychological and physical goals to increase self-confidence and self-esteem, independence, and social awareness.
Circle of Hope is a Premier Accredited Member center of PATH, (Professional Association for Therapeutic Horsemanship). PATH is the only national organization for the accreditation and certification for EAAT programs.
Circle of Hope is located at Pleasant View Farm, 22500 West Harris Road in Barnesville, Maryland.
Circle of Hope's emphasis is on individualized goal-oriented sessions. Our sessions are private only so that the participant may experience the best possible opportunity for learning and success.
Funding and support for Circle of Hope comes from the private sector. Contributions may be received from individuals, corporations, organizations, and foundation grants.
Trained volunteers are vital to all aspects of the Circle of Hope program. There are approximately 92 trained volunteers presently assisting with the sessions, grant writing, and fund raising support.
